Nuestra corporación celebró el 19 de octubre el “Día Internacional del Cáncer de Mama” afianzando su compromiso de lucha con ésta enfermedad a través de charlas informativas para sus colaboradores. Un llamado a la reflexión y estar alerta en la prevención que es el mejor tratamiento.

El cáncer de mama es el tumor maligno más frecuente en la población femenina; concienciar a las mujeres sobre la importancia de conocer las técnicas de autoexploración mamaria, las revisiones periódicas y la mamografía son fundamentales para la detección a tiempo. No obstante, la detención temprana del cáncer de mama mediante exámenes preventivos como la mamografía y otras técnicas, son fundamentales para obtener un pronóstico de la enfermedad.

Por su parte el Dr. Gioval González, especialista del área y representante de UNIMEDICA, en medio de su intervención enfatizó que el diagnóstico precoz es vital ya que en función de los resultados arrojados dependen las posibilidades de curación, las cuales pueden ser del 100 por ciento si se detecta a tiempo.

Asimismo, en el desarrollo de la actividad Jenny Espina, facilitadora y especialista en entrenamiento de la empresa Espinaca Corporativa, explicó que la intención es despertar conciencia en mejorar la calidad de vida a través de ejercicios físicos dedicando unos 30 minutos de ejercitación, que permitan un cuerpo más saludable, al tiempo que se pueda reducir el riesgo de padecer la enfermedad. Se trataron tópicos sobre la alimentación de hábitos saludables y prácticas de prevención para detectar alguna anomalía en las mamas.
